RAS Completions Ltd. are pleased to announce the opening of their new Cabin Interior Division.
The Cabin Interiors design and airworthiness office and interior cabinet workshops are located, airside, adjacent to the RAS Completions Hangar facility, offering interior modifications and refurbishment programs on both light aircraft up to wide body aircraft.
The capability of the Interiors Division starts with Cabin colour boards, elevations and full 3D CAD design models and renderings which result in 2D mechanical and electrical engineering drawings for production.
The 3D CAD package, utilised, enables RAS Interiors to develop the lightest mass possible for each interior component and monument and it also interfaces with all current industry CAD packages, to ensure compatibility with major completion centres and OEM’s design data. The output from the 3D design, interfaces with Nastran FEA packages to ensure that all structural interface loads into the aircraft and within the components can be analysed quickly to ensure that the design solutions offered to each customer, actually work, are lightweight and can be certified.
All certification and continued airworthiness documentation, encompassing CS and FAR Parts 23, 25, 27 and 29 is compiled by RAS Interiors and is processed for STC or Minor Change approval.
The production facility undertakes all manufacturing of the interior components using lightweight composite sandwich panel materials and offers all level of décor finishes from commercial paint or PVC film to VVIP wood veneers. With the benefit of RAS Completions paint and lacquer application techniques, any lacquer finish can be applied in house from high gloss to sateen finishes. Using gloss meters and composite / lacquer thickness measurements the designer’s desire can be turned to reality, with high quality, high gloss lacquer and precious metal décor finishes.
